Learn a little bit more about the team driving Ravendale Foods below:
Managing Director: Raymond Gray
Ray established the business in 1983, after starting in the meat trade at the early age of 15! After training as a butcher, then working as a salesman at a meat wholesaler, he decided to branch out on his own, and the rest they say is history!
Commercial Director: Jack
Jack joined Ravendale Foods in 2014. He started his career in the City working in finance. Upon moving to the North East, he decided apply his experience and skills to a new career and joined Ravendale Foods. When he is not in the office, he is out on the road, meeting clients, visiting suppliers and occasionally manning a market stall!
Technical Director: Vanessa
Upon leaving university, Vanessa decided to join her dad and work for the family business. She is responsible for ensuring that we comply with the relevant food law requirements and meet standards in relation to public health. She makes sure that our plant and every product we produce meets our high standards and those expected by our customers.
Technical Assistant: Kay
Kay joined Ravendale Foods as a school leaver and has held various administrative roles across the business, currently she works in Technical with Vanessa and Elizabeth. She carries out daily checks of the plant to ensure that we are meeting the FSA’s and BRC’s food law requirements.
Technical Assistant: Elizabeth
Elizabeth joined our Technical team after graduating from Newcastle University. She makes sure that our plant and every product we produce meets our high standard and that expected of our customers and the FSA. When she is not in the office, you might find her at one of our suppliers ensuring that their systems and processes meet our expected requirements.
Purchasing Manager: Lynda
Lynda has her finger firmly on the Ravendale pulse and has been with us almost from inception. She wears a lot of hats: from reconciling accounts to managing the office.
HR: Liz
Liz works in our HR department. Her role includes undertaking recruitment, payroll and other HR-related administration.
